International Travel Tips

International Travel recommendations for CMA Music Festival

  • Book hotels and flights as early as possible – the earlier the better. Transatlantic flights are heavily booked at that time of year. You can get better prices on flights the earlier they are booked.
  • If you would prefer not to rent a car, try and book your hotel in the Downtown area and use the shuttles to get around the event.
  • If coming to CMA Music Festival for the first time and unsure of your way around, consider travelling with a tour group who will have someone on hand to help you and make sure you make the best of your trip.
  • It will be very hot, make sure you pack light clothing, wear a hat, use sunscreen and drink plenty of water.
  • Everyone is very friendly in Nashville and will want to make your experience a happy one for you, if you are unsure, please ask and generally just talk to people, they will enjoy it as much as you do.
  • Research events and other area attractions in Nashville around the time of CMA Music Festival, so you can make the most of your trip.
  • Especially for the International Country Music fan, who will often not have access to seeing many artists in their own country, this is a wonderful opportunity to see so many artists in the space of a few days - pace yourself and enjoy the experience.
  • Join CMA for the annual Global Artist Party on June 8th at 6:15 at The Stage (located at 412 Broadway). CMA’s Global Artist Party is the unofficial kick off to the CMA Music Festival. It is free to the public, but space is limited – so come early!
  • The AristoMedia Global Showcase, co-sponsored by CMA, will be held on June 9th at 3 pm at Second Fiddle (located at 405 Broadway). The showcase is also free to the public but again, space is limited.
  • Visit Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau for addional information.

Additional festival tips can be found in the general information section of the website.
