Many notable guests from outside the Country Music world have participated in the event over the years. In 2007, original “American Idol” and pop singing sensation Kelly Clarkson appeared with Reba McEntire, and southern rocker Ted Nugent turned up the heat with Montgomery Gentry. Plus ABC-TV brought stars including Cheryl Burke (“Dancing With The Stars”), Sam Champion (“Good Morning America”), Bob Guiney (“The Bachelor”), as well as ABC Daytime stars of “All My Children,” “General Hospital” and “One Life To Live.” Other notable past guests include Paul McCartney, Danny Glover, Poison’s Bret Michaels, Uncle Kracker, the Beach Boys, Troy Aikman, Lance Bass, Bryan Adams and Niecy Nash of Comedy Central’s “Reno 911!”
